The following is just a brief itinerary to give you an idea of what we will be doing and where we will be going. Once signed up, you will be sent a detailed itinerary of the trip.

Day 1 - Sydney to Burke. We have a few kilometres to cover today. We travel through great country towns like Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo and Nyngan before arriving in Burke. Tonight we will head into town for a relaxed meal together.

Day 2 - Burke to Quilpie. We travel through Cunnamulla and then head off the beaten track to Toompine. This place has a population of 4 (last count) and a great pub. It's then on to Quilpie. Tonight we will take part in the Street Party. Hopefully someone from our group can enter and win one of the novelty events of the evening.

Day 3 - Quilpie to Windorah. You can take the self - guided river walk this morning or head to the public fossicking area just out of town and look for an opal. Tonight we will be a part of the International Yabbie Races. Lets put a syndicate together a buy the fastest yabbie we can find. This is a great night with people coming from all over the area for a real party. I think this is a real highlight.

Day 4 - Windorah to Birdsville. The excitement grows as we head for Birdsville today. The outback festival we are all keen to be a part of. Have a stroll around Birdsville, get to know the place that will be home for the next three days. There is plenty of entertainment around the area and some great things to see.

Day 5 - Birdsville. Today we will head 40 kms out of town to the edge of the Simpson Desert. Here we will find "Big Red" one of the many sand dunes that cover the land between Birdsville and Alice Springs. Take the time to climb this magnificent landform. The races will be on in the afternoon so we can warm up for the cup the next day.

Day 6 – Birdsville. Today is the day. The Birdsville Cup. Have a relaxed morning looking around Birdsville. We will head out and look at the dingo caves before we head to the track. Lets back a winner today or just enjoy the festivities of this unique outback experience. Tonight is a great night in town. Head to the pub or Brophy's tent for the auction.

Day 7 – Birdsville to Innamincka. Today we head towards Innamincka. We head down the Birdsville trac for a bit before taking a left onto a real bush track. This is one of our favourite Outback routes. It takes us through walkers crossing (weather permitting). Tonight is a real treat. Sunday Roast at Innamincka pub. This is a meal that most locals don't miss. It is great to be a part of it.

Day 8 – Innamincka. Today we will look at the tragic story of Burke and Wills. We head out to Burke's grave where he was found and then further out to the infamous "dig tree". We will also have a look at some Aboriginal etchings from the very people who probably could have saved Burke and Wills. Tonight we will relax at camp around a fire along the banks of the Cooper Creek..

Day 9 - Innamincka to Tibooburra. Today we venture through corner country. We head down the Old Strzelecki track to Cameron Corner, where South Australia, NSW and Queensland all meet. Here we will also see, and go through the Dog fence. Tonight we will be in another great outback town.
Day 10 - Tibooburra to Broken Hill. It is a leisurely day today as we head to Broken Hill. The afternoon will be spent exploring Silverton, the famous town where Mad Max was filmed.

Day 11 - Broken Hill to Hay. Today we head out towards Menindee Lakes to have a look at this massive inland water course. We will spend time at some great vantage points to take in this amazing place. From there we take our final desert track on our way to hay where we spend our last night together. Here we will have a great meal to celebrate our time away.

Day 12 - Hay to Sydney. From Hay we will make our way back to Sydney via Wagga Wagga. We arrive back in Sydney to say goodbye to our new found friends. What a great trip

All meals are provided except three “Get your own” meals on the trip. These meals are dinner in Windorah, the night of the yabbie races, Dinner the night of the Birdsville Cup and Lunch on the last day in Katoomba. This is simply from an organizational point of view.

Please check the Menu for a more detailed look at the meals.

By the end of this trip you will have had a fantastic time, made some new friends, and see why we say “Not many people see it like this”
